So I wanted to unlock some of the goodies the European folks get but we don't, courtesy of our archaic legislature.
I set off to 'Houston BMW Coding' where Chris promised to convert some of my hard earned smackaroos into new tricks for the german sled.
After an hours worth of me pacing back n forth and the
clickity-clack of Chris's keyboard, he had accomplished the following;
- Disable iDrive accept screen
- Disable iDrive camera disclaimers, enable rear camera in motion
- Enable DVD in motion
- M style digtal speedo
- Windows/sunroof down/up with key fob
- Mirror fold in from key fob
- Disable window safety feature (windows continue rolling up if any door is opened)
- Auto close windows/sunroof with rain sensor
- Sports screens in idrive (shows real time hp/tq output)
- Enable exact tire pressure and temperature in TPMS screen
- Unlocks doors when engine is stopped (single pull on door handle to open)
- Open/close trunk from keyfob
- Set automatic high beams to default "ON"
- Enable turn signal display in HUD
- Start/Stop defaults to last setting (if I set it to off, it remains off next engine start)
- Enable 'M' Nav startup video for iDrive
