On public roads, I agree. Driving at ridiculous speeds should
indeed be physically impossible on public roads, breaking the law and putting others at extreme risk of severe life-threatening accidents.
And since we have the technology to prevent this, why not?
So, that we enthusiasts can have "our fun" on public roads? Not good enough.
Sure, you may need to
briefly go 15mph to 20mph over the limit to pass someone, but other than that, now it's just speeding.
And I drive faster than most of you on most roads with my radar detector and laser jammer, so this is speaking from logic and reason, not emotion.
