I opted for the wheel/tire warranty on my F80. It paid for itself in 2 years. I had 3 tires collect a screw and they don't repair them they replaced them with new tires.
My third puncture resulted in the BMW towing company scraping my carbon fiber rear diffuser which BMW compensated me for by giving me the full value of it so, I still have 2 more years of free tires if needed!
