The interior on the E46 likes to peel its paint. That car has the sport package, which is what you want. If you get it for free, or a few thousand, it's worth it. It does look a little neglected. What is the maintenance history?

The maintenance history is "sometimes".
It's been sitting in their garage for quite a while, don't think it's been driven in over 4 years so I was very surprised that it even started and I was able to take it out of the garage. But I'd essentially inherit it and take it off their hands. My brother in-law who used to drive it is interested in sharing the costs to rehab it - said it could be his car to drive anytime he's in town (which isn't often....).
