The base specs and options list will vary by market, as the in market operation is essentially an importer, and they will liaise with the factory to build specs and options suitable for that market, in order to best consume their manufacturing allocation.

With WLTP, many manufacturers are moving to packs, rather than individual options, as each and every variant has to be separately tested. Seat is a good example, where on its new ranges it has removed all options, apart from colour. You choose your engine/transmission, and then the model in the range that gives you the spec you want - no more mix and match. Marketed as making it easy for the customer, but In reality it minimises WLTP testing.
