I cannot directly answer your question sadly.
However, my i7 today got notified today (24 May 2024) of the most recent March-dated software update others have talked about on here.
Evidently that software update for other users ultimately enabled the door remote control feature.
The update completed successfully but I don't see door controls in my app quite yet.
Maybe BMWNA are rolling updates to more cars ��
