If the deal is really good, then don’t worry as the difference in performance isn’t huge. I’d avoid any form of tuning whilst in warranty as they are not cheap cars to repair if something goes wrong, just enjoy wafting along.
I’ve got an LCI 740LD Xdrive at the moment while mine is getting a small paintwork repair and it feels heavier and a lot less sharp, some of that will be engine (it’s a lot slower and the throttle response isn’t great) but the shorter wheelbase and lighter weight will help. Styling aside (which I don’t like at all), there’s no noticeable difference between pre and post LCI in terms of ride comfort and refinement and if you carry passengers in the back then they’ll really appreciate the older car with standard comfort rear seats. It has confirmed what I thought when I bought my car, Executive Drive Pro is well worth the extra cost.
