Not really no, I noticed that BMW UK are fitting them as part of their chauffeur programme and as mine is a lease I wondered if they get brought in under that to access the better rates regardless of the end user. (I didn't apply under that programme though so just guessing)
I had a Trackstar postcard in the car when it was delivered talking about the S5 system which comes with tags but I have no tags and haven't downloaded the app or activated anything as I recall when I had a tracker with tags on a 911 I was always forgetting them and getting phone calls from the tracker company.
Not really sure what has been fitted TBH.
