You bought the wrong BMW simply put. The 7 series is a mess of new technologies and stuff crammed in to make it more expensive and have fancy gadgets. And you got the 750i... that engine is not a very common engine so repairs are expensive.

What you should get is a 3 series. It's the most reliable and least maintenance to run. Everything is simplified compared to the 7 series. Mass production numbers mean the bugs get worked out before they put things in the 3 series.

In general for luxury cars, the more expensive and high end it is, the less reliable it is. That's why resale values drop like a rock after the warranty runs out.
