I don't think BMW uses the urea add-on at all in Europe. My understanding is that it was a special technology for the US market where the NOx emissions standards are tougher.
In any case, if they are using it now then it's a recent development. |
BMW is using adblue for almost all diesel models in Europe. My x5 m50d has it.
