Interesting read this morning. I didn't think to copy the link at the time, now I need to go back and find where I read the article.

Bottom line, it blamed the Longshoremen's union for this shit show bottle neck. It seems they are behind not wanting to allow owner operators in the port. They feel they should be classified as employees and obviously forced to be union drivers. They are also refusing to allow the ports to use any kind of automated system to unload the container at the port.

I'll see if I can find it.
