Only ones taking this thread off the track are those that cant accept their egos being crushed because bmw has defined MPs and part of the M brand, which they have and hence they are, no matter how many hissyfits those that cant accept it take.

When you are the CEO of bmw, you can change it back, but since the only fact here to accept is that bmw has defined these vehicles as part of the M brand, thats all that really matters since they make decisions, not you nor I. I just simply accept it and you do not.
Or the ones that truly believe M performance is an M car. Bmw M and AMG still separate the models in verbiage even though the line is starting to get blurred when it comes to marketing. But you do realize that even though they are making these changes due to marketing, there's clear distinct differences between the M models and M performance.

It's not about egos. It's about facts. It's amazing how so many these days dismiss facts.... Amazing!
Amazing also how many tie up their inflated egos to a piece of inanimate metal!
