Actually I have looked around. Some say it's ok some say not. I found out today that the xDrive system is a bit sensitive if we change the OEM ratios so yes the chances of affecting it are very high. In regards to the X-drive and tire/tyre size...see the info below about tyre exchange for X-Drive (AWD)...there is a little room for variance. You can run tire sizes through a tire size calculator (just google for one...there are plentiful on the internet)...and that can help select tires that are compatible if the numbers are slightly different. Plus there are already the BMW recommended sizes in your owners manual.
