Anyone know why the valve stem seals go bad on the N63?

Should I anticipate failure again in the future, or are new, improved parts now used?

Thanks.
Valve stem seals get toasted and hardened because the heat that turbos in this "hot vee valley" produce. Its a design flaw in first generation N63O0.

Same burning and hardening happens to all rubber and every gasket near turbos sooner or later in that engine. Its a tight package with insufficient cooling.

Yes, the new seals are improved and different part number. They should tolerate heat better.
