It's crazy but Vettel could still potentially go to Mercedes. It's the team that he's always been eyeing.
Will Hamilton allow it? What will happen to Bottas? Who knows...
One thing to note is that the Mercedes F1 team was told by Mercedes that they need to be financially independent. While it would take a fortune to sign 2 super stars, if Vettel joins Merc, a German driver to a German team is going to create some major hype and bring it major sponsorship money.
It's wild and borderline insane if it happens. But this scenario is definitely still possible.
