Not so sure, I got my 7 after 5 straight M cars and I think it's a sporty drive if you choose the rwd versions, the xdrive not as much as the front end is a bit heavy but on high speed sweeping roads the 7 hunkers down and offers lots of stability and confidence.
Not a canyon carver obviously but way better than A8/S-class/Lexus in that regard.
