It wasn’t bad at all I rebuild all kinds of engines and personally love bmws. But I definitely was able to save the customer thousands by doing this instead of replacement. These engines cost anywhere around 5-8k used depending on mileage but we got everything done for $3500 ($1500 in parts $2000 in labor).
What engine is in your e38? What all did you have done to it? I’m doing a rebuild on another customer’s e60 with the n62b44 pretty soon, I was going to do a write up on that as well.
