These renders look as if they took the existing F01 and simply squished it down a bit. I'm betting the renders are not even close to how the front and rear facias will appear when this stud bows in 2016.
Having said that, I do agree with previous posters that BMW needs to step it up if they expect to compete with the all-new MB S-Class. I loathe Mercedes interiors (have always preferred BMW's driver-oriented focus and materials / color schemes) but have to say I'm really impressed with the interior of the new 2014 S-Class. The exterior styling is improved over the previous S-Class, but I still prefer the F01 / F02 exterior styling over the MB.
I've had my 7-series for two years now and am already planning for his replacement. I really want it to be the G11, but if the design is cocked up, I may have to jump ship. Frontrunners are the next-gen Porsche Panamera or the MB S-Class.
