This is why I wonder if some of the new design ideas that Americans don't like are all that important. China bought 2 1/2 times as many vehicles as the U.S. so I would expect their opinion carries a lot more weight (money talks). There is likely far more growth potential there than N. America and Europe.

I don't think there's any doubt this is the case but those who don't agree just wish that there was some sort of compromise in design - yes you can cater to China but at least retain some elements and not do a complete 180 in design.
