Yeah, I've put it off cuz of the numerous complaints about the keyboards and I think they were using the 7th or 8th gen intel core. Glad they remedied these with the refresh.

For what you do, you have plenty of power already. A clean install and like YCO suggested, a SSD and you will be surprised with its speed. A bump in ram never hurts.
On another note, do a little research before you turn in your old pro, these things hold their value better than you may think.
