LWB only. No SWB V12s for this generation. US is only getting the LWB models so BMW of NA decided to badge them all as an 'i', hence the M760i instead of Li.

Because it is a luxury car. It's all about being smooth. A 1993 M3 with a 3l l6 engine produced almost the same amount of power as the 1993 750il with a 5l v12 engine. Each engine has it's own application.
I don't know anyone that's driven an S63T2+ that would describe it as stressed or non-linear.

At least not enough to justify a 50% increase in displacement.

We're not talking about a peaky NA I6 vs NA V12; we're talking about two, relatively large displacement TT engines.

There must be more going on here.
