Good result for you. Smart to push back. But if the car was still under warranty there never should have been a question. I have found that not all Dealers are alike. I’ve dealt with three. One I do not trust at all. One is exemplary, but expensive. The third in between. When you’re on a road trip you can be at their mercy as you can’t choose so your lesson is a good one.
