I have this set on my 540 and in the 4 years I be owned the car , only seen this pop up once and that was on a journey lasting getting on for 2 hours on mostly motorway.
It's obviously there to remind you to take a break if you've been driving for a while in perhaps monotonous driving style.
I guess they did it because they can but in reality it's of no real use
