i agree with you in principal, but when all your friends are playing multiplayer online, you'll be left behind...
The only games I really jumped at on release date and was massively dissappointed was Halo ODST and Reach, they will be the last Halo game I'll ever buy, I'm tired of that series.
I totally buy sports games well after they're released.
