I haven't had that issue on the F01s however have LOTS of experience with that in both early 2000s Range Rovers and the current Range Rovers.
In this case, the car is smart enough that if you have a scan tool capable of seeing the CIC module, and there is a communication fault for "X", it's usually X.
It's a MOST loop, if one of the modules is bad such as the CIC, AMP, or Combox, there will be no sound. Does sound continue when this happens? If so, it might just be a screen.
