My Sons first car was a last generation toyota corolla -
- safe
- reliable
- not fast enough to get into much trouble
- normally aspirated
- decent insurance premium
- great resale
- cheap to maintain
- great mpg
But it had a CVT...i truly despise CVT transmissions
