What do you guys think of my new glass
I did a bit of my own stimulus to the economy last week. Finally got my hands on a 14-24 and a watch I have been searching for, for well over 10 years.

What do I think? I think you SUCK!
Sweet lens, I'm envious. I do more sports shooting, so I'm planning on the 70-200 as the next lens, but this 14-24 is sweet. Since I'm shooting crop frame (D300), I could get away with the 12-24, but I'm getting NAS and thinking I don't really want glass slower than 2.8.....

Nice.
I went for the straight fixed 14mm rather than the 3x as heavy 14-24 =P

Oh, and you must be taking part in some type of "mad math" to come to 3x as heavy. Weights are 23.6oz. (670g) for the 14mm fixed and 35.3oz. (1000g) for the 14-24mm. Just want to set the facts straight. Last edited by forza1976; 04-10-2009 at 10:35 AM.. |

I only paid $700.00 Canadian Dollars for my 14mm anyway and am going to invest in the 17-35mm, no filters is starting to piss me off lol

You can use gel filters, however you can't get really strong ND gel filters, also I dunno how good of quality they are... and if you think about it, if you've got a strong ND filter on there, how are you going to focus your shot?
I also want to be able to use Lee Filters and GND filters + Circular Polarizer
