It is so hilarious to read the post sayings that both cars are comparable. You have some really dilusional people; "just take the emblems off and they are the same car"... So ignorant; stupidity should hurt.

So many people are just blinded by their own car that they can't see reason and logic.

Very true. It happens on every car forum.

Yeah but we dont try to compare a 911 Turbo to the 335i just cause they both have "turbos". Common sense sure is lacking over there.

It's so funny that some VW owners there knew that the 335i just walked over their GTi and tried to defend by saying about the Winter driving on 335i compared to their awd GTi. What a pity!

Laughs

Yeah, but most of the posts were pretty honest- I like the one where the guy says "..... and now I hate my GTI"

Haha...I was about to buy a GTi as opposed to an E90 and I am sooooooo happy that I got the E90 instead. Admitted that the GTi is a fun car but the E90 handling just outstanding. Its lacking in acceleration compared to a GTi but the handling more than compensates. And wow, thats just an E90, don't even get me started on the 335i. I can't imagine anyone comparing that to a GTi

Just a quick heads up - no pressure.

E90 is a general term for all 3 series sedans. So the 335i could also be an E90. I think you are using the term "E90" when you really mean "E90 325i".

This sums it up for me...

If the GTI had a 6cyl, im sure it would be at least 300hp if not more.

the point of the thread was why is this 335i $22k more than the GTI when they really are the same car, like I said the BMW just went a little further with the each option...e.g. Active cruise control, both have cruise control but the BMW will reconize a car in front and slow down.

is $22k really worth it just to have a different emblem.....
