Honda CRX Nurburgring Run
Came across this video yesterday.
Apart from concentrating on "road rage" it's nice to see a good stick driving skill with a variety of techniques. A little over the top but nicely done! And that's why we drive stick |

Poor guy, wears shorts t-shirt and then safety equipment.
He is trying to conquer the green hell and some bikers totally take his wind out of his sails Like Malibu1 said......"BOSS""

Wonder how he's modded it. My CRXsi wouldn't be getting round the ring that fast and wasn't exactly reassuringly stable at top speed.

To me it looks like his toe and whole foot for that matter is coming off the brake and on gas on downshift. No matter, interesting driving.

the guy did some heel-toe double clutch downshifts in a pretty impressive fashion There was one well-known video back in the days showing this technique. as long as you don't use more time downshifting vs the time it takes you to complete your braking, properly done double-clutching could result in a faster downshift while bypassing the synchros. Double-clutching is smoother and is the proper way to do 5-2 or 4-2 downshifts at high speed (provided you are within the rev limit of the 2nd gear). It is not required on modern cars ,however, but it's a good technique to know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MU1N3IERy6k |

He acted like an irresponsible dipshit toward the end. Great driving but the bitch needs to calm down. Ain't racing for a podium finish.

Bikers are getting in the way rather quickly at the Nordschleife even with moderate sporty cars like this CRX. I know from experience.
Looking at the speedometer this car isn't tuned or I'm spoiled by the speeds my car can do I guess. And I see torquesteer, nuff said Like LM winner and fellow Dutchman Peter Kox said: If your brakes are powerful enough you don't need to brake on the engine/heel& toe... And this is a fwd car wih less torque than my windscreenwipermotor for God's sake. LOL. Cheers Robin |

A stock US CRX si would maybe reach 120 mph going down hill with a big tail wind, but this guy hit 127 so he's either modded or maybe he's driving a Del Sol which was still a CRX in Europe and had the most powerful engine.
