Impressive!
Curious to find out if reviewers are going to make fun of water injection this time around...

No stated production cap. I just heard today from a reliable source the number will be around 200......now don't shot the messenger. And please don't believe you'll snag one for that listed MSRP......not gonna happen.......Phil

as an employee of the brand, I highly doubt there is no production cap.

Impressive, but too far in the track-only car category?

Well Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche have had cars with 700+ hp and DCT for some time now.

big thanks to porsche for making this pdk only and doing us 997.2 gt2 rs owners a solid

back when i had my r35 gtr, there was a lot of animosity bw gtr owners and porsche's pdk - it is a far superior trans in every way, and the ol jdm boys weren't happy. there's a video going round of a journo doing something like 40 launches in a row with very little change in temp or times, brutal efficiency

turbo's and water injection, if they weren't worried about warranty they could probably pull 1200hp out of that engine size

That's not the question. Getting 700hp is easy.

The question is, will it be reliable and stand up to use? Hopefully the answer is yes, but achieving a reliable 700hp engine from 3.8L is quite the achievement.

I love and admire the fact that Porsche intentionally made this car feel boosted, rather than trying to tune the turbo feel out of it. Sounds like the car is challenging, but rewarding to drive. Also love the unabashed racey looks.

Would be mega cool if they put in this in an R-like Touring model, or a more aggressive Turbo model.

Looks cool! Think I'd kill myself though. Both literally, and figuratively after spending that much damn money on a weekend car only to have it be outdated in 3 months, especially one that isn't a piece of history.

Great bedroom wall poster for kids.

Only three will need to be reliable, they others just have to make it from the delivery truck to the collectors garage.
