How are/is the Reliability of V12s (current owners chime in)
So now that the next generation of 7 Series has been released and I never care to own one based on looks alone (same as the F80) no matter how much, Tech, Comfort or Performance they may have. I am moving forward with my previous decision to grab a very specific 2020 or LCI G12.
I may even consider a V12. The M760 is quite the vehicle for many reasons. Including the final V12 offering from BMW. We all know the issues and potential issues from the twin turbo V8. How is the reliability and longevity of the V12s in these G Series 7? I'd love to get some real world feedback from current and previous owners... - Marcus |

Factory Oil changes are every 11k miles, but I get them between 7,500 & 9,000 miles. |

It's nice to hear some feedback from a modified v12. It is so hard to find data on the v12. Are you just tuned or downpipes too? Does anyone even sell downpipes?

I can no longer remotely start from the key nor my phone. They can reprogram the launch control, but I don't have time to take it back for the update. I have a Noelle Performance 1st generation tune…I was the guinea pig ☝️…the very first tune they did on the LCI V12 and it took 8-hours. No down pipes, no colder spark plugs, no performance air filters…just a tune (ecu, TCU,dsc, and a host of other modules in the vehicle). This is why the tune took so long bc they had to read all the information, program it, and make sure all the modules communicate with each other. |

Sweet Antwan.
Tell me more about your options and package. I probably won't do a tune like you have. But I certainly will insist on some must have options. I'm actually surprised no one else with V12 models are chiming in? |

Timely thread - have just purchased a pre-LCI M760i and have been lurking on this forum for years to see how reliability was turning out. Seems like this drivetrain might be one of the most reliable BMW has built in recent years. Mine will have quite low miles for the year (2018, ~27k miles), but I am considering extending the warranty as it will be running out right as I pick it up from the dealer in a few days.
