Bypassing Auto Stop-Start

Don't know if this is widely known but the ASS function can be bypassed by selecting 'S' on the transmission selector. In the Sport mode, the engine remains on when the car is stopped.

I've been impressed at how smoothly the car accelerates in 'S' mode.

For a big heavy car it is impressive in D also. When you need it there is a lot of power.
