2010 750Lix Turbo Tune
I'm taking delivery of my new 7 series. Just coming off of my S550 4matic and truly loved it, but coming back to BMW since they finally came up w/ their version of awd.
Anyway, my last 7 was an'01 and it has DINAN stage 1, but understand DINAN and BMW have somewhat parted ways. Does anyone know a company out there that has come up w/ a tune package that will up the turbos for this new motor? Thanks. |

I do remember a few month back that Dinan had a 750 in the shop and was working on a tune. They had an X6 in their shop for like 7+ month and had worked out a turbo tune and were continuing the development on the 4.4l V8TT engine on the 750 since they basically have the same engine (X6 50i and 750). Not sure if Dinan has actually released anything for the 750 though...
Personally I wouldn't mess around with the car unless the warranty was expired. Considering how complicated these engines are these days, if something were to happen to the engine due to the tune, good luck getting it taken care of by BMW... Just my 2 cents worth

I'm interested in it too. If a BMW dealer does the Dinan work, I thought that the mods were "accepted" by BMW?
Its got to be pretty easy in this engine considering how BMW has already done it themselves for higher outputs in different vehicles. X5M output in a 750 with xdrive.........that would be something. Pan Turbo and Bentley Flying Spur territory (for AWD vehicles).

The turbos, the cooling, the electronics, etc are all different just to name a few. It's NOT a simple tune to get the 750's engine to perform the same as the X5M/X6M engine!

Still looking
Ok, I've had the car now for close to 4000 miles and loving it more and more, especially since I took off the Blizzaks and put on original tires (black chromed, might I add ).
I am looking for a tuning company MORE THAN EVER!!! I have a 2005 Porsche TTS and the power difference is remarkable. I can't believe there isn't a simple re-mapping programmer out there to permit just a little more boost??? Is DINAN the only company out there?? |
