I meant ZR1 but now that you mention it the e92 on track would be fun to see as well

Reliable I'm sure...track car only Id get the Z06 but this is my daily and well I've only owned NA cars as thats what I love but I thought "how fun would it be to have some monster with massive torque". The car scares the hell out of everyone I take in it. I've never had a car this fast or insane. Makes the first e92 m3 I supercharged feel tame

I don't know. If I had the choice of a viper TA for the same price I prob would have gotten it. They run similar times in the 1/4 and on the racetrack. The viper has a much nicer interior although I've never driven one.

I'd make sure you've got all of the available cooling mods if you're really going to push it. The LS9's generate a lot of heat, and will heat soak sometimes. Coolant temps can get up there too if given the chance. There are a bunch of aftermarket heat exchangers and radiators for sale. I think there's a good mod to the actual intercooler bricks too.

Sweet car, we have a few guys at work that have them and every time one gets driven in we just drool over them. Everything it does is really no comparison to the m3. Congrats on the purchase, the guys at work run the sport cup tires it is the only way to keep it out of the ditch. LOL
Even a 650 kit cant keep up to the zr1

Yeah, I'm very excited about the C7 Z06 but this thing is a different animal from a different generation. And the ZR1 really stands out from other Corvettes on the road. I am jealous for sure!

I had a ride in a buddies ZR1 at Watkins Glen in the instructors group. EVERY other car on the track was like a moving chicane! The ZR1 is insane! The brakes are other worldly - they stop that car so quickly and lap after lap they just seem to get stronger.
Congratulations and have fun!!! For tires and handling - definitely check out the Vette forums. I know that a new alignment is supposed to help with handling and at least Michelin PSS would help with traction (You could get a 345/30-20 for the rear). We all know that Michelin makes the Pilot Sport Cup ZP for the ZR1, but they are astronomical in price ($1868 from Tirerack for all four).

Congrats! A good friend of mine has one. It is an absolute beast! He let me drive once and I was totally in love with this ZR1!
