Tinting question
Hello all.
I have a 09 750li and when i had my windows tinted, the leather on the top of the door panels on both front doors were damaged. It looks like water got behind the leather and damaged the foam. Has anyone else experienced this?? |

I've read someone else complain about the same issue. (Not sure if it was you) After reading about it I was sure to mention it to the tint place I went to last week. They covered the top of the door while they worked and made a point to use less water.

It was me. Thats the weird thing, the second place covered the top of the door panel too and maybe it was my imagination but it seemed like the damage got worse. Might have been just my imagination though.

Sorry to hear about your issues...
I had my windows tinted by a reputable shop in my area and they did a great job. I only had one minor issue with it. They didn't push one of the aluminum covers on the top of the door panel back into place. It was a simple fix though... just had to push it down.

I swear tinting on these cars is not for the faint of heart. On my E65 I had a nightmare tinting episode. When I got the new F02 there was no way I was going to potentially go through the tinting nightmare again. Ill just put on sunglasses.

i watched the tint guys tint my parents F01. u really have to watch people now because they are so used to getting away with shoddy workmanship. the place i went to had a nice comfy recliner in their shop and i posted up there for the 2 hours it took to tint the car. thank god i did because i had told my salesman i wanted the tint to be 18% all around and when I got there they were in the middle of cutting 30% tint. Glad I got there when i did.
