I was at the black tie event first look for charity and the owner of Alpina was there. I spoke with him briefly on the car and its technology and I was really impressed with his passion for the car and knowledge. But he was such an asshole I can honestly say I don't care how good an Alpina car is, I will never ever ever buy one as long as I live.
He's a rude German guy and in the middle of our conversation with nobody around he turns around and walked away as if he never had met me. He did this once I asked about the move to the Honey well turbos as opposed to Christian Sobers Blowers from ASA. Don't know maybe they had a falling out |

With the new pricing and included options on the 2011 750i, the Alpina B7 is still a great bargain, but it's not quite as good as it first appeared to be.
A comparably equipped 2011 750i without an M Sport Package or Individual Composition Package would have an MSRP of only $91,975 including destination and handling. The standard B7 SWB has an MSRP of $122,875 including destination and handling so the premium over the 750i is $30,900. You obviously still get a tremendous amount of additional car with the B7 for your $30,900, but it's clearly not as good a deal as I first thought.
