Test flight went without the gimbal on because we ran into an issue with calibration and had taken it off for the test flight. Hovered beautifully and flies like a champ. Finished up our FPV setup for our camera and for the ship, have our first event with it on april 5 at the roll out to reach out racing event at pocono's.

Check rcgroups (dot) com, it's a RC forum and their classifieds always have awesome deals on used setups. |

I will have two gimbal mounted cameras inside cars at Pocono. Both are two axis for now. For the next event where I can attend (California), I will have a two axis and three axis with FPV. The FPV will be to guide the in-car camera to follow during passing.

Flight time? I got about 8 mins on the F550 with/gear/gimbal/gopro. Doing some calcs from my charger I can go up to about 9-10 minutes before I hit 80% of the battery capacity. Pretty happy with that, that's roughly what I had before I added all the weight. So far the 1038 props work just fine. |

Still flying it! Just fine tuning some gains, it's really hard to get 100% stable. We'll have it good in calm winds and it's perfectly stable but in heavy winds it under corrects, and when we retune to have it super stable in heavy winds it over corrects in calm winds so it's just a matter of time to get it right.
We fukked up our GH2, the hacked gh2 basically shit the bed and we had an issue with the video component of the gh2, but now it's okay we can only get aerial shots, so we bought a gh3 and waiting for it to come and just going to leave it stock firmware and shoot out the box with it. the flight time is around 12 mins |

a dome today. Went with a glow and the dark paint for my night flights. Not to happy with the paint, might respray it but not sure. Here's some pics

I've thought about that, seeing some more domes recently.
Just for looks or would it protect any? I'm OCD about adding weight. I'm planning on upgrading motors soon to get more flight time. Mine is right around 2300 grams. I am getting about 9 minutes out of a 5000 mah 4S with the DJI 1038 props. Motors get a little warm but not hot enough yet where you can't hold them. |
