Windshield water not pumping
Hello windshield water is not pumping anymore on my 750 g12 2016. But the front headlight cleaner works perfectly. What could be the issue?

....and a pain to replace.
TIS procedure attached, if you are inclined to replace the pump yourself. Might be worth checking to see if your pump is running when activated by the steering wheel stalk and if so, and still no fluid, to verify that all the hoses are all connected, or do not have a leak prior to the windshield nozzle, prior to starting the pump replacement procedure. |

Can you hear the pump when initiated but no fluid is sprayed from the jets? Or do you hear dead silence when initiated?
If you can hear the pump...perhaps the jets are clogged (calcified). Take a straight pin and gentle try to clean any crud from the nozzles.

Maybe check the fuse first - just in case.

Per the TIS:
The windscreen washer pump is connected to the Body Domain Controller (BDC) via a two-pin plug connection. The BDC activates the windscreen washer pump. The Body Domain Controller monitors the power consumption of the windscreen washer pump (locking protection). BDC is powered by three fuses: 1. F504 on Z3 (Panel on top of the Battery), 60A, Hangs off the Terminal 30 voltage rail 2. F40 on Z44 (Front right panel distribution), 60A, Hangs of f the Terminal 30 voltage rail 3. F28 on Z44 (Front right panel distribution), 20A, Hangs off the Terminal 30 voltage rail Last edited by M_Bimmer; 03-19-2024 at 09:57 PM.. |

77777, do you mind letting us know the short cut? I'm sure the rest of us will be changing this out soon....
Assuming you removed the front right wheel, and the corresponding front wheel well rear liner, were you able to slide out the washer fluid tank without removing anything else? Thanks! |
