BMW G70 Service Bulletin List
Here you will find all of the service bulletins BMW has submitted to NHTSA for the i7 and 7 series (G70). Bulletins usually take several weeks to appear in the NHTSA database after they are published internally in BMWTIS.
This thread will be updated with recent bulletins after they land at NHTSA and a reference is published here: https://itsanalogue.github.io/bmw-tsb/G70.html. You can find all of this information on the NHTSA website if you know where to look, but this is a consolidated list and should help search engines find and index the SIB PDFs faster. |

Customer notification isn't scheduled until April anyway. So unless dealers have it in their system that it's a recall job now and no longer just an open bulletin, they can't fix it for free for you because it will still show as "wait til next cabin air filter replacement" on their system.

My dealer called me and wanted me to bring my I7 I for the repair, but I refused and said they could do it when I needed to bring the car in for something else.
I have pretty much always enjoyed bringing my new cars in for servicing over the years, but find that with BMW, it just isn’t as interesting as it used to be. I so LOVE my I7, that driving much of anything else is a huge letdown. ![]() |

For the first time ever IN MORE THAN A DECADE, I no longer ever wake up on Saturdays/Sundays looking at autotrader, or have email alerts for certain car or models. I no longer look around for anything. There is no car on earth that I’d want to trade in with (well unless I want to put >200K + my car for a RR Spectre or Bentley phev). But in in the sub 200K MSRP range, EVEYRTHING is abosutelyl a huge letdown and downgrade. Am so spoiled with this car in a way I never thought I would. To make it even worse, even the other options that used to be great in the past, are now worse than ever before, exactly when 7 is becoming better than ever before. In addition, the following fault memory entries are saved in the CCU (Combined Charging Unit) 0317F2 - High-voltage system, insulation fault detected: when switch contactors are closed. 0317F1 - High-voltage system, insulation resistance below warning threshold: when switch contactors are closed. The fault memory entries (isolation faults) can occur both individually and in combination and must be traced back to the eDrive motor based on the ISTA test procedure. If ISTA test procedure lists possible cause of fault as; A metal chip is found behind the brush module (between the brush module and the end shield of the electrical machine). Repair required.
