2013 7 Series LCI Facelift Preview Render
BIMMERPOST NEWS 2013 7 Series LCI Facelift Preview Render After many months of testing and multiple prototype sightings, the debut of the 7 Series LCI facelift refresh is imminent. The reveal should come by the end of this month. Here is a preview of the 7 Series facelift, based on some recent spy photos. Most of the refresh changes will be to the front fascia. Full LED headlights will come to the 7 series for the first time, with the turn signal lights now integrated into the eyebrow. It will receive a more aggressive lower front fascia, with more pronounced and longer splitter fins on the lower lip, and we think there will be air curtains vents integrated into the bumper, as the spy photos indicate. The kidney grilles receive a thicker and more pronounced grille surround and the side mirrors now incorporate side indicator lights. The interior will not see much changes, but should see new technology. The F10 LCI should receive a new generation navigation system and may be the first BMW model to receive the upcoming optional touchpad iDrive controller (not seen in this prototype), which we spotted not too long ago on the next generation X5 prototype. The refresh may also bring to the 7 Series the just revealed Programmable Multifunction Instrument Display The refresh should also see the introduction of a new 450hp 750i model. Why would it have both the fender and side mirror turn signals? Kinda redundant. I also doubt they will make the front bumper look like a 5 Series like that.

Call me crazy but it's NOT the vents or the signals that bother me, it's the fact that those headlights look like they came from a Chrysler 300.
FAIL Please someone at BMW catch this. |

Not sure if anyone's seen the latest X5 M, but its headlamps have been revised and are now different from that of the standard issue X5's. I expect the headlamps on the F01 LCI facelift to offer something very similar; smaller size, sharper angles and more elegant and sporty, all at the same time! Subtle change, but big impact.

I suppose it will also have new generation of navi (as starting July 2012 5 and 3 series will have). That's why we saw a bigger screen in prototypes. Damn, I wish it was just a software update... looks like hardware that leaves all existing owners behind.

I have seen some pics of the 7er 2013 LCI from someone who works at BMW and it doesn't look like the one shown in the render. The Fog lights are divded into 2 LED lights on each side and the headlights are a little bit different but they are a stunner to look at.
Unfortunatly there wasn't a picture for the rear view so I don't know what it will look like. |

I don't mind the lights a bit. I do think they make the car look more stunning and elegant but that's just my opinion. I could think up a (well... not "complete") that would be a lamer choice to put on a bimmer.
