740 ECU Tunes
I have been looking around for an ECU map/tune for the F01/F02 740.
Although it is the N54 engine its is slightly more powerful than the typical N54 in the 335, so most tuners don’t have the 740 listed along the cars with the N54 engine that they tune. Not sure if the difference is only software or hardware as well. Here is what I have found so far (Updated): Hartge: 390hp http://www.hartge.de/e/bmw_motor_5266.html Price approx 3K Nowack: 351hp http://www.nowack-tuning.de/chiptuni...0i-240kw-326ps VAC: 400hp http://www.vacmotorsports.com/catalo...d-x-series.htm Kelleners: 392hp 480N.m price approx 2K http://www.kelleners-sport.de/b2b/in...vid=202&cat=28 Burger Tuning: None (email) Evolve tuning: Not Yet (email) AC Schnitzer: None (online) Hamman: None (online) Dinnan: None (online) ESS: None (online) Cobb: None (email) Active Autoweke: None (online) Mosselman Turbo Systems: not yet (email) Last edited by rb6547; 03-04-2012 at 08:12 AM.. |

Hartge seem reputable but the price is quite high?
Nowack doesn’t seem to be increasing the power by much and the their email replies and site seem to be German only? VAC don’t know much about them and their reputation with BMW tuning Does anybody have any additional information? |

Went with the V2. I have been building high end high profile show cars for over 11 years. While the F01 will just be my daily driver I know of VAC and they have a great reputation.

Did you install the VAC on your 740i? How did it go? I have the 2011 740i also looking for adding more hp to it. I wonder why Dinan don't have nothing for our car, in fact they are quite expensive. Can you tell me more details on the VAC you bought, is it easy to install and did you do any dyno test to check if this thing really work.
thx a bunch. |

Low gain
And their site shows the 7 series only gain 30 whp while the 1 and 3 series get 70. http://store.vacmotorsports.com/vac-...ies-p1917.aspx
