I like the new instrument cluster and squared led headlight a la DTM race car style. However, the front looks too high thanks to the sucky pedestrian safety laws. The car could look great if it was a bit wider and had a more slopping hood.
The rear is not my cup of tea it looks way to much like a Lexus LS460 bring back the unique and aggressive early generation E65 style taillights.

Where have you seen pictures of the new S class's interior? I've never seen anything other than a heavily camouflaged test mule and artists's renderings of the exterior.

I think BMW upgraded it in all the important aspects: a better look, 8 speed transmission, improvements for power and more efficient consumption, x-drive also for 740i

Don't get me wrong.. I love BMWs and as I mentioned above we have a 2011 740i but it just doesn't give you the same status as an S class.. The big benz! The current S class is outdated badly, but it still got on the 7 series its unparalleled ride comfort on the expense of a worse handling.. A new Jag XJ, 7 series, Audi A8, Porsche Panamera came out and S class is still the same.. So I wouldn't be surprised if the new S class debuting at the end of this year turned out to be something out of this world.. But there's no chance it can rival the 7 series on its sportiness, handling and acceleration capabilities (assuming non-AMG versions). |

The virtual needles look dull and flat (well, they are). I think BMW should have kept the physical needles and evolved the Black Panel with additional display modes.

Nevaaaaaaaaahhh! It provides zero interface improvement. Worse, the fingerprints would drive me into the hands of a different manufacturer...after 16 years . |
