2014 W222 S-Class
Just watched this great video:
An extensive list of technology! So funny: I thought I was the only one to drive my own car and frequently use the rear to conduct business! They must really know their 'new' target audience! Very interesting to see that in the video! Otherwise: Love the new 'slim' rear lamps; very elegant. Wish the front lamps weren't so large or bulbous, which they in fact aren’t when the lights are on. So you're supposed to rest your hands on the steering wheel? Anywhere in particular? Anyone know if the steering wheel turns on its own when on autopilot (as seen with auto parking) or does it remains straight until you assume control? |

As a current W221 owner I can say I am completely in love with this car, Elegant, gorgeous and its a nice evolution from the W221
Kudos for posting this! Edit: you wouldn't happen to know when the order bank opens do you?

What about weight reduction on this model?
The design of the steering wheel is so-so... Also the dash could have been a lil' better. Exterior design is for sure a plus. |

This looks nice until Hyundai makes a copy of it. Not too crazy about the Acura RL tail lights. Red ambient lighting is for KiAs, even seen them on Fords, distracting as hell.

Must say BMW was smart to announce its facelifted 5 Series and M5 and M6 Competition packages shortly after Mercedes’ W222 S-Class unveiling, not to mention the fact that virtually undisguised 2 Series photos have magically surfaced as well. Different model classes aside, gave people just enough time to go gaga over the new S and then placed its unveiling in the ‘lesser new’ news category...

Based on pricing released for the UK, and after conversion to US dollars, etc., it seems the new W222 base MSRP's are going to be between $250 and $1,900 more expensive than the outgoing W221, depending on model. Not bad!

I really love this car! The video is simply amazing!
I'm towards my final stage of trading my 2012 335i M Sport for a 2013 750i M Sport but I may now wait for this to come out... It's going to be slightly more expensive but I really feel like its worth very penny! TBH I'm in love with this car... It all started once I watched that video!!! Hmmm never thought I'd consider moving to Mercedes....

Quite a nice car. The video made me wonder how long it'll be before most cars really do drive themselves and we all are just passengers, not drivers....

I hope that never happens... Sometimes you drive to distract yourself! Or just to enjoy the car... If you don't drive, where is the fun in that!!
