Never heard of a Caddy Allante.

Apparently it was designed by Pininfarina and production for 1993 was 4,670. Definetely a rare Caddy. But I would imagine it'd be expensive to repair over there.

They were great looking cars when they came out but a bit dated looking these days...I think the biggest knock on them is that they're in constant need of repair.

Agreed, I imagine they are a maintenance nightmare.

Total POS (IMO)!!! Very difficult to make any repairs in the engine bay due to the fact that it's a FWD transverse mounted V8 engine. The engine is STUFFED in between the front wheel-wells. Even a task as simple as a water-pump failure will require engine removal.

Actually built the chassis/body in Italy and flew them to the US to fit the mechanicals. Any wonder GM is in trouble. Reminds me of an episode of Married with Children.
