Weight saving of 30kg if that much.
770i !! That's big. I believe it's gonna be 3.0l with 5 turbos. On top of that 7 series M... it looks like soon it's gonna be hard to find non M car from BMW. I am happy to switch to Porsche in the upcoming year however will also order F15 as I think it's a beautiful car. |

Looks a lot like the F01 from the side. I am afraid the dash (with the separate screen) will be introduced as well in the new 7, making me really doubt if I'd buy a new one. I really like my nice and flat leather dash ...

Okay, I don't get this! People here defended BMW's ugly hood line cut design by saying it was because of pedestrian safety regulations. So how come this doesn't have the ugly hood line? Don't get me wrong, I like how it used to be and am glad to see the old hood line back.
That aside, this looks a lot like the current 7 series, especially from the side. Expect this one to have larger grilles, larger headlights that merge in to the grille, weigh a couple hundred or so pounds less and have more tech in an attempt to match that of the S class. Nothing we don't already know or expect. I feel the designers have lost their creativity. |

Looking forward to the next gen BMW's that hopefully will all undergo a weight loss program.

Up here in Vancouver you see 7's out and about but still rare. The LCI is rare, doubt anyone wants to drop $120K and the car is basically worth half in 2 years so a lot of used or lease returned 7's get snapped up instantly from local dealers.

The new S Class has almost the same weight with the previous generation so it will be somehow in the last position related to driving dynamics in the luxury class.. Jag and Audi already use Al chassis, BMW will have CFRP and Porsche is on top with Panamera..
Still a long wait 'till the G11 release |

When your driving back from Mammoth or Vegas, you know you're getting close when you start seeing the 7's.

One thing's for sure, if BMW persists with using the "shadowline" trim on the majority of 7 series variants like they have with the 4 series, then this car is going to end up looking cheaper than any of its competitors. Before anyone says chrome trim is cheap looking, please google pictures of the new S-class which literally everyone drools over. A new 4 series with chrome looks at least twice as good (and expensive) as one with shadowline.
I'd like to see this "shadowline" trim left alone as something exclusive for M cars. It doesn't suit run of the mill BMW's. |

After I took all 3 BMW driving school and try with Mercedes tech. driving school.
BMW make a very good car. Especially 50:50, BMW driving school teach us what is 50:50. After drove 7 series for a month, I became to understand what is the difference 5 to 7. BMW really make a much better than other maker. Before I buy my new 7 series, I can buy a S-class but I skip it. BMW is not a cosmetic car. It is a driver's car, even a 7 series. |
