Money Stolen From Car While In For Service
Exceptionally annoying, but the change in my ashtray has been stolen FOR THE SECOND TIME while my car was in for service (two different dealers).
I’m very particular with what I keep in my car and I clean out the ashtray often, leaving it full of only quarters. Called and spoke with the Service Manager upon noticing same, told him I understand my car was there for a week and there’s no telling who might have taken it, but that he MUST put his employees on notice that this is absolutely unacceptable. Argh. :

I could have sworn the same thing about a set of nice sunglasses I forgot in the car while it was there a couple weeks! Service advisor said detailed said nothing was removed. (As if I expected him to say "yeah, sorry, I stole your 300 dollar shades!) very sketchy, but what can you do

Nevertheless, whether or not I do, this is unfortunately prevalent and we have to take matters into our own hands on each and every service visit. Therefore, I plan to have my service advisor take pictures of my ashtray when he's taking pictures of my car when checking it in going forward. An annoyance above all. :

Honestly I don't try to leave any cash/valuables in my car when i turn it in for service. We do not live in the ideal world.Just don't give them a chance to do such a silly thing.I still don't think anyone might have stole quarters .Someone might have took them out for safe keeping and forgot.
