2016 Chicago Auto Show & The Car That Stole The Show **PICS**

IMO the car that stole the show: the Cadillac ATS-V. Holy effing crap. Both my buddy (who owns an Evolve S/C E39 M5) and I are diehard BMW enthusiasts, but we were both in agreement and completely blown away. We're aware of the CTS-V (old news), but had no idea that the ATS-V had a 3.6L twin turbo under the bonnet pushing 464hp. I can't even imagine what kind of potential you could unleash with a tune/dp's/etc. Job well done Cadillac. So great to see other manufacturers pushing twin turbo 6's in the market.

That said, there was plenty more Autoshow car pron

Saw it at the Seattle auto show and wasn't that impressed. Would rather have the c63 or m3. The interior just isn't even close. I hear they make crazy power with a tune though. Would be a blast to drive!

^^^ I suppose I should qualify it as being the biggest "surprise" of the show. Especially knowing that Cadillac brought the immensely underpowered ELR to market only to have it axed shortly thereafter. I would say they hit the mark with the ATS-V. Afterwards I pulled up a couple of videos of the ATS-V on the track (road course) and roll racing. Very impressive.

Would have loved to see it vs the new F series M3/4, but this is still impressive.

Driving it would probably be the best thing about it. That way, you don't have to look at it.

Haha, I won't lie...I'd drive it for sure. It is a bit out of my responsible price range at the moment. But I'd still much rather have the c63 or m3. The c63 interior is

My friends and I drove to Detroit for NAIAS, waste of time and money. From these 14 pictures, the Chicago show looks 10x better. I know Chicago is supposed to have the largest show on Earth, but the NAIAS should have been able to hold it's own too. It wasn't even in the ballpark. BMW's floor space was terrible there. They didn't even have the F30 LCI on show... and several other models were missing from the display. Maybe I'm Chicago biased, who knows. The best part of the weekend was playing with a modded e90 and CL 63 AMG on the interstate on the way back home...

yeah still have a soft spot for the letters STI and that BRZ STI looks dashing. Just another of the cars I would love to own, but I'll probably just end up with a nice WRB 2007 Hawkeye.

The ATS-V looks pretty good in blue but I just can't get past other aspects, and Lexus and that grill, too much, that's full retard, never go full retard.
If they made the grill in a more proportionate way I think it would look really good.

Why is Lexus following Cadillac's styling cues, in terms of excessive angles...? That Cadillac blue is horrendous. Even Nissan does its light blue hue better than that, but BMW EB-II and LSB are the benchmarks. The Alcantara grey suede in the Caddy isn't beautiful either.

Sat in one at the autoshow as well... "stealing" the show is a very loose term.
