Finally here, 750i xDrive
Our journey to the G12 was a bumpy road. We started out looking at M3's but really wanted more space in the rear for transporting my elderly parents. We test drove and fell in love with the 750ix and were in the purchasing process when the airbag control module stop sale was issued. It started as a software reprogram then morphed into the airbag control module replacement.
Since we couldn't actually buy the car we were trying to buy, it gave us time to look around for cars that were not affected by the recall and were equipped exactly like we wanted. Were were able to find just the right vehicle, unsold and 5 days out on the shipping vessel. The dealer procured the vehicle for us but when it was at the VDC, it needed the tensioner belt replaced, which took about a week. The car arrived at the dealer who found it for us the day we left on a two week vacation. The car was delivered to our house this morning at 8:30, right as we were heading to church. This is my wife's car so needless to say, she has had a very Happy Mother's Day. Here are the specs: G12 750i xDrive Imperial Blue Ivory/Black Leather Cold Weather Pkg. Executive Pkg. Driver Assistance Pkg. Plus Driver Assistnce Pkg. II Display Key I snapped a few quick iPhone pix, which I'll add to the post when I get a chance.

Fantastic!! So happy for you speeddeacon! The car is a stunner. Can't wait to see interior shots. Have often wondered what it'd be like to own a car with the Ivory interior (nearly did that with my last Imperial Blue 7 Series but balked due to my tendency to wear bluejeans).
Congrats again, and the wait was definitely worth it. More pics when you have a chance

Will do Bry
I've been hard at work since getting back from vacation and haven't even taken it out of the driveway myself, only as a passenger with my wife. Plenty of time for than once work slows a bit. I also haven't gotten a chance to take any real pictures. I hope to do a good new car detail then will get some better photos. Our 335i had the Everest Gray interior, which was a very light gray. It never showed the first sign of wear or staining from jeans, etc., after 3.5 years and 45k miles, even though the dealer warned us about it when we ordered it. I do keep my cars detailed pretty well, including leather conditioner and protectant, so I'm sure that helps to some degree. Choosing a light interior and a dark exterior is a detailing maintenance nightmare, but that's what the missus wants, that's what she gets.

A quick question for anyone. Since the car was delivered to us and we never actually stepped foot in the dealership where we purchased, we didn't get the Genius tech instruction. Is there a good online resource to learn the tech in the car? Most of it is similar to our 335 with the tech package, but some is new.

Here is a good source. Not as deep but does cover a good base.

Ivory -- In my experience it's been like owning a black car ... you have to do it once and then never again : Actually I have had two super light interiors and each time swear I will never do it again. If you are leasing or just don't care when the interior goes from 'new' to not as much 'new' then light interior may be the right choice.
