No, Speedmaster Moonphase in Blue.
Dark Side of The Moon is nice but not a Moonphase, and the face of it is a slice of a MOON ROCK! Amazing! It's much more expensive too. This one is just right. Mike

I actually used it to find my car on Friday. I hadn't realized the arena where we were had 2 identical parking garages. I'd always thought there was just the one. The app told me the car was in the other one. Pretty cool.

My $ is that the on\off is the state of the alarm. That's a cool watch for sure.

No pics and no Rolex, sorry for the former, not at all sorry for the latter.
My usual rotation includes a Jaeger LeCoultre Master Moon from the early 00s with black dial (the old 39 mm case), a JLC Reserve de Marche in rose gold (also the old 39 mm case), a LeCoultre 'Futurematic' with black dial circa 1953, a Chronoswiss Orea manual wind and an early production Nomos Tangente. No pie pans and no bling. |

That's not only aesthetic preference - I've got very small wrists and have a heckuva time finding straps to fit unless I order custom from Camille Fournet, ABP or the like, so I start with a readily admitted prejudice and physionomy that sometimes limits my choice of wrist candy. When I see a press item for a new watch that appeals, the first thing I typically look for is the 'case diameter' spec. Over 40 mm won't fly. And as you know, in the heyday of mechanical wristwatches, a 35-36 mm case was typical for 'fine men's watches.' Either everyone got bigger, or we're looking at a big watch fad. Kinda like the big SUV thing. I'll cop to it. SUVs and 48 mm watches aren't my thing. That's why I'm driving an M2 with a 6 MT and wearing a Futurematic. Throwback stuff. |
