As matter of fact majority of the M5 quarters that are on the interwebs are showing around 11.3 which factoring in driver weight of let's say a gross 4500lbs puts the car below what advertised #s are and only around 500hp to the ground.

The math never lies when dealing in straight line racing!

You claim it's higher or lower hp?
Higher, more in the range of 650 - 675hp at the crank and 600ish ft/lb.

I saw an 11.4 without using launch control and it was on the Pirellis. A properly launched M5 on heated Michelins is 10.9 - 11.0.

That'd be nice if it was the case, but the math at the same 4500lbs with a 130lb driver and in optimal conditions running a 10.9 puts only 610hp at the crank 560 at the ground.

How are you making these calculations?

Known very good horsepower calculators we build with.

Here's perspective!

The Dodge Demon actual crank horsepower is over 900hp based on time they ran when the NHRA recognized and banned it from events all at the same time.

This places the actual rear wheel horsepower near the 840 it's advertised at.

I use the demon as an example since it's also 4300lbs, and most are hitting low 10s with 300 extra HP at the crank. Even being RWD, the transbrake and Drive line hooks the car very well making the difference between RWD vs. AWD figures nearly void.

Lol, it could be rice, pasta, bread, or potatoes......

No matter the starch, the math remains constant!

This is why dynos for the most part are useless and should be used for tuning purposes. The only real way to see what a cars HP is duplicate consistent 1/4 mile ET. Engine dynos are also just as accurate of course!

The Demon has far more grip off the line than a stock F90, as evidenced by it's 1.0 second 0-30mph time. It pulls 2.9 second wheelies after all! I'm seeing a trap speed difference of about 10 mph at 1/4 mile (127 vs 137). You think an extra 300 hp only results in an additional 10mph? I actually think the Demon makes the case that the M5 is making more power than advertised, unless BMW is really stating 600hp at the wheels when they quote 600hp.

Lol, how do you figure more grip?

AWD has a significantly greater advantage.

Also you have to remember the peak power points of supercharged vs. turbo charged. Very different on how the power comes on and is sustained, with the advantage ALWAYS going to the turbo charged car traditionally having the ability to make and sustain torque better especially on the top end.

I wish the numbers pointed to your 600rwhp, but no matter how you run the numbers it falls short at around 510-540hp at the rears. Not bad numbers at all though!

Great time for the SVJ but throw the same Trofeo R tires on the 2RS and it will be faster yet again.

Very impressive driving in this video. Tires were falling off quite a bit in the end...

To throw a wrench in it, throw the same tires on a 720 and see what what happens.

Even if the Porsche were faster, I'd take the Lamborghini instead.

I’d like to see that too. I don’t think it will beat the 2RS or be that close either (like 10-12 seconds slower) but I like to see like comparisons. Same as when the 918 beat the P1 and ACR when all were driven by the same driver, same day, same tires.

I don't understand why anyone cares about this stuff.

I think you will be surprised at the results. The GT2RS doesnt stand a chance. The 720' chassis, balance, suspension and power are far superior to the 911. I have yet to see the 720 post any real times on the ring but at Big Willow and some other tracks it is smoking everything with street tires.
